Call me crazy, but Arizona may have found a little Dak-and-Zeke magic by drafting Love and Beck in April. Are they a threat this year? Absolutely not. Still, Beck should be starting by midseason, and he has the tools to become Arizona’s long-term answer at quarterback. With him on a rookie deal, the team could spend next offseason strengthening the rest of the roster.

By the end of the season, Malachi Fields will be the Giants’ clear No. 2 wide receiver—and he may even prove to be a more reliable long-term weapon than Malik Nabers.

Fernando Mendoza reminds me of a more athletic Bernie Kosar, and I mean that as a compliment. In most drafts, though, he probably would not have gone first overall. I am curious to see how long he sits before getting his shot. Mendoza landing in Las Vegas is interesting, too—could there be a bigger mismatch between a player and a city?

Sean McDermott will become the Eagles’ head coach in 2027. With A.J. Brown gone, the offense may struggle, and Vic Fangio could retire. McDermott offers a strong résumé and the motivation to pursue his first Super Bowl title.

The Jets are more likely to receive Green Bay’s first-round pick from the Quinnen Williams trade than Dallas’s. With ongoing distractions, substantial roster turnover, and several players who could regress, the Packers are unlikely to finish ahead of Dallas in the NFL Draft order.

Dan Quinn appears to be entering the season as a lame-duck head coach. The offense lacks stability, the defense does not have the personnel needed to execute his scheme effectively, and the quarterback is returning from injury. Taken together, these concerns make Washington like a strong candidate for a top-five draft pick and a new head coach.

Wild prediction after the season.   Tampa Bay hires Mike Tomlin and gives him Sean Payton like control and they lock Baker up long term.

Anyone else feel like the 49’ers need to find the reboot button after this off-season.  Between head coach and owner embarrassment to whacky player and pretend player nonsense.   This feels like a major change coming for the 49’ers.

I do not expect the Rams to win the Super Bowl. Super teams often fall short, and Seattle, Chicago, or Dallas could upset them in the NFC playoffs. However, if Los Angeles reaches the Super Bowl, I do not see an AFC team beating them.

The 2027 NFL Draft could become legendary if every prospect takes a step forward this college football season and polishes the rough edges.

It’s such a strange football world these days.   Growing up I would never have dreamed the Pittsburgh Steelers would be more a soap opera than Dallas Cowboys.    NFL will be better when Aaron finally goes away.

Can someone explain why Tennessee paired a young quarterback with a defensive-minded head coach? The decision makes little sense. Ward will quickly be labeled a bust if he struggles, but is the team giving him the support he needs to succeed?
