LA Chargers signs Hasson Reddick
The edge rusher formerly with the NY Jets. Reddick expressed dissatisfaction in 2024, but joining the Chargers and their defensive unit would improve his outlook. He is a talented player when motivated, and a change of scenery is just what he needs.
Arizona Cardinals signs Matthew Judon
The edge rusher from Atlanta. The Cardinals have the fifth most cap space in the league. They need defensive pressure to advance their team. Judon is likely too costly for the Falcons to retain, making him a valuable addition to the Cardinals’ defense.
Minnesota Vikings sign Charvarius Ward CB
Ward’s story of needing to leave California is known, and the Vikings’ need for defensive improvement is well-documented. Flores will love Ward’s style of play and should reach a high level of success early in the season.
Detroit Lions sign Khalil Mack
The veteran edge rusher from San Diego. Last season, injuries to the young Lions’ defense cut their campaign short. The upcoming significant coaching changes will present challenges. Adding an experienced player like Mack is a sensible move to bolster the defense. Mack will likely enjoy playing under the new defensive coordinator, Kelvin Sheppard. He will be motivated to compete for a trip to the Super Bowl. For the Lions, with a young roster, securing a veteran like Mack is an opportunity they shouldn’t pass up.
Green Bay sign Josh Sweat Edge Philadelphia.
Can you have enough pass rushers? I don’t think so. If Green Bay wants to advance in the playoffs, they need to use their cap space. They should aim to disrupt the top team in their conference. They should lock Sweat up on day one of free agency.
Great post! It will be interesting to see how much of this comes true. You connected the dots so well. As an Eagles fan, I hope your last prediction comes true on Sunday!
